Just before the Ring Road went into a tunnel, we turned south onto a gravel road to get a view of Vestrahorn Mountain. The closer we got, the more doubtful it was looking that we’d actually see the mountain as the cloud deck started to drop.
As we passed a full parking area, we could see much of the mountain. By the time we parked and got to a good place to photograph, the clouds started to cover the top of the mountain. A small, low cloud settled in just low enough to swallow up the top of the mountain. A little higher would have been great. A little lower, making the top and the bottom of the mountain visible, would have been awesome too. Can’t be lucky all the time.
